Dan Cederholm
Dan is one of the more well-known designers in our industry. He's written multiple web design books, on being "Handcrafted CSS". I was fortunate to see his Handcrafted workshop in Salem, MA in 2009.
-
Ethan Marcotte
Ethan Marcotte contributed a FANTASTIC chapter in the Handcrafted CSS book. He's pioneered the "Responsive Web Design" movement and made me re-think of designing and coding websites in a different ways.
-
Meagan Fisher
Meagan Fisher is one of the most talented designers that I've ever seen. Her work is simply unbelievable. I find myself in awe a lot of the times when viewing her shots on Dribbble.
-
Andy Clarke
Besides being the most entertaining speaker I've seen, Andy Clarke is one talented designer. His book, "Hardboiled Web Design" is a must read. His approach to designing for the best browsers first is something I agree with.
-
Ira Siegel
Ira is a very talented designer based out of Phoenix, AZ. He's a co-worker and friend of mine. I pretty much owe a lot to Ira. He's one of the more knowledgeable people in my field.

Nicole Sullivan
Nicole Sullivan has been speaking of Object Oriented CSS for quite some time. I find her approach of modular CSS using the cascade as inspiring. I think it's a good thing to challenge our industry.
