This is the place where I showcase my work as a web designer/developer.
I'll also be writing in the "Notes" section. I'll be posting articles, tips/hints, or anything else that I find interesting.
Feel free to browse around and don't be afraid to e-mail me with any questions/suggestions, at least until I get the contact form up!
I am currently AVAILABLE for work.
Web standards is the basis of development. Clean, semantic markup not only will help a website's search engine ranking, but will help in your own development as well as anyone who will be working from your code.
UX plays an integral role in website development. I have experience in usability, usability testing and studies. UX plays an important factor in the life-cycle of a website and needs to be involved in the early stages of design.
Jeffrey Zeldman taught me about web accessibility in his book, "Designing With Web Standards, volume 3." It's important to me that every website I develop can be read via screen readers as well as using ems for text-resizing.
HTML Email can be very quirky and limiting as far as CSS goes. I've designed and developed many email campaigns and have experience with email client issues including Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail.
Dan Dumont is a web designer, developer, and geek. The favorite part of his day is sitting down, headphones blaring, writing that CSS. Dan is fueled by Starbucks Iced Coffee with a shot of espresso. When he's not working, you can find him in a basketball gym or on his iPad.
